My husband and I just started couponing. It was so exciting on our first couponing trip when we bought $60 worth of toiletries for $4.26 at Walgreens, $50 worth of toiletries for $1.25 at Rite Aid, and $80 worth of groceries for $31.46 at Kroger. We are hooked!!! It's so much fun to save money.
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited, tonight I actually saved 100.99 dollars at kroger. I spend 124.70. I bought 92 items so it averaged out 1.35 each!!!! I'm thrilled and I thank frugal friends for educating me on couponing!
ReplyDeleteNow that I'm retired, I try to watch what I spend! Coupon clipping helps!
ReplyDeleteI love to save money and get annoyed when I don't have a discount of some sort when making any purchase! I'm trying to teach myself the best way to go about saving big money while couponing but it's still a work in progress. So far, I have saved the most money at Old Navy! With their sales and rewards dollars, I can walk out of the store with clothes for a fraction of the cost.
ReplyDeleteI only go to the grocery every two weeks, so my Best shopping trip to date was at Kroger when I bought a ton of high priced items(toilet paper, laundry detergent, dog food, etc) and still paid $10 less than My normal two week food only budget. I was thrilled!!
ReplyDeleteGot a 3.5lb bag of Purina dog food, 1 full size bottle of Nutriesse Garnier shampoo, 3 bottles of old spice body wash and 1 Dawn's liquid soap all for $8.00 at Kmart. I then went to target scored the nivea body wash which was on sale for $2.47 (used the $3 coupon) and used the overage and the .75 off coupon for colgate (with the free toothbrush) for a grand total of .98! Daily total $8.98!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much April for all your tips!!! i am just beginning and have saved so much money already!
I am learning that the more I try to save & use coupons, the more I need to learn. Every now & then I get it right or at least on the right track & that's when I get excited.
ReplyDeleteStill learning but I've walked out of Kroger recently with savings over 80%. the pasta has been great to stock up on since I have young pasta loving children.
